Imagine the freshness of the milk, mixing with the rich, sweet and chewy brown sugar boba, and this is why brown sugar boba is so popular and craved for.

However a regular cup of Brown Sugar Milk start selling from $3.20 and some even priced it at an overwhelming price of $6.50.

It is actually quite easy to do and you will only need very few ingredients!

Ingredients needed to make Brown Sugar Milk

The ingredients we need are very simply and can get it easily at major supermarkets. There are:

1.) 50g of Brown Sugar Boba

2.) 1 bar of Gula Melaka (~ weight about 70 grams) / 200 grams of Brown Sugar

3.) 400 grams of Water (Spilt into 2 portion, 100 grams and 300 grams use for 2 different parts)

4.) Milk

5.) Ice

Steps to make Brown Sugar Boba

1.) To cook the boba, we will be using 1:6 water ratio. For today, we will be using about 50 grams of boba and we will be needing about 300 grams of water.

2.) Allow the water to boil, and once boiled, we can put in our boba and allow it to cook in the pot for about 20 - 25 minutes.

3.) In the meantime, we need to prepare the syrup for our boba. Put the 100 grams of water together with 70 grams of Gula Melaka or 200 grams of Brown Sugar depending on which on you are using.

4.) Allow the mixture to boil and the water will be reduced and the syrup will thicken up. Off the heat, and allow the mixture to cool.

5) After 20 - 25 minutes, drain the boba from the hot water and soak the boba into cold water. This will allow the boba to stop cooking and allow it to become bouncy bouncy.

6.) After 10 minutes, drain the boba from the cold water and mix the boba with the brown sugar syrup. Mix it will and ensure that all boba is coated with the brown sugar syrup.

7.) Its time to assemble the Brown Sugar Milk. Drizzle the brown sugar boba at the side of the cup and allow it to flow to the bottom of the cup. Remember to take some of the syrup together with the boba.

8.) Add some ice into the cup. Proceed to add the milk in, and fill the whole cup.

9.) And there you go, you have just made your own Brown Sugar Milk! Remember to mix the milk well with the brown sugar boba and you can enjoy it!
