Rena found this place and indeed it is a very chic place!
I didn't take a photo of the whole place, however, I took like the neon lights!

Kota88 served Chinese Indonesian food. why Kota88 you asked?
This is taken from the website:
"The meaning of ‘Kota’ is derived from the Indonesian word, ‘city’. However, it is also a slang that is used to describe Chinatown in Jakarta, as it was the city closest to the port where trading took place."
"In Kota88 Restaurant, we serve Masakan Tionghoa Indonesia(Chinese Indonesian Cuisine), which is a mix of Chinese dishes with local Indonesian culinary characteristics. It all started with Chinese immigrants in Indonesia many years ago where this traditional cooking style became an expression of our culture which is the inspirational backbone for our restaurant. Hailing from Glodok, Jakarta’s chinatown, we are proud to bring our succulent heritage to Singapore, and present the Kota88 Restaurant at 907 East Coast Road."
Dish 1: Babi Komplit Special

The dish contains in house specialty minced pork, char siew, roast pork, fried wanton and vegetables, served with side soup and steamed wanton.
The noodles remind me abit like kolo mee. I love the char siew. It is not like your normal char siew, the caramelised one. This is abit more meaty and more tough, but it give a good bite and good texture to the whole dish. The noodles are very springy and also the noodles are abit oily, but then again, the oil give a goody good slurp to the dish itself! If you order the special noodle, you will get the fried wanton. The fried wanton is good, it is crispy, but don't expect like inside got alot of meat, it doesn't have any meat, or just very little!

Dish 2: Bebek Panggang 烧鸭

Oh coming to this dish, actually this dish is the worst for me. However, this dish is like praised by some of the food bloggers.
The meat inside the ngoh Hiang is like luncheon meat, and it doesn't really taste nice. It is really quite bad! I couldn't really enjoy the dish. The skin is really nothing to shout about. It is not very crispy and it is not very unique.

Dish 3: Bebek Panggang 烧鸭

The duck was one of the nicer dishes there. The skin is glistering, and the skin is crispy. The meat is tender and quite flavourful. I would wish that the duck could be more flavourful or like absorb more of the sauce. The sauce is not like the herbal type. The skin of the duck will fall out from the meat.

Dish 4: Nasi Goreng Babi 猪肉炒饭

This dish is pretty average. The rice is fried not bad, have abit of the burnt taste, not exactly the wok hei! I think the fried garlic is the one that really enhance the taste of the rice. And have to say that there is alot of ingredients in the rice!

Dish 5: Fu Yung Hai 芙蓉蛋

This dish is also one of the worst performing dish. The egg is pretty normal, really nothing special. I think the sauce help to save the whole dish, but also, not especially attracted by the sauce. The sauce is like a tomato sweeter version sauce. You can either pour the whole sauce in the egg, or like just dip it as and when you want too.

Dish 6: Sapo Tahu沙煲豆腐

A pretty average but good dish! Have to say that this dish is way better than the Ngoh Hiang and the egg! At least this one really have more taste and more flavour, and really pretty good. If you have like plain rice or even the fried rice, go with the sauce, it is not salty at all! It is pretty good!
